TERMS OF USE

These Terms of Use govern the access and use of the Adasato website (hereinafter, 'the Platform'), including all its features: digital reading, the Satocoins virtual currency system, Premium subscription, the rewards and trophies system, referral program, and any other service offered. By registering or using the Platform, the user fully accepts these conditions.

1. Access and User Account

To access the full features of the Platform, it is necessary to create a user account. By doing so, the user agrees to:

Provide truthful information and keep it updated.
Be responsible for the confidentiality of access credentials.
Be over 18 years of age, or have parental authorization if the applicable legislation permits it for minors of that age. Certain Platform content is directed exclusively to adults.
Not share the account with third parties or allow unauthorized access.

Adasato reserves the right to suspend or cancel accounts that violate these conditions, perform fraudulent activities, or compromise the integrity of the Platform or other users.

2. Virtual Currency System — Satocoins

2.1. Nature of Satocoins

Satocoins are a virtual currency for exclusive use within the Platform, with no real monetary value or possibility of being exchanged for money. They do not constitute a payment instrument, bank deposit, or financial product of any kind.

2.2. Obtaining Satocoins

The user can obtain Satocoins in the following ways:

Direct purchase through real payment via Stripe or other enabled gateways.
Free bonuses for activity on the Platform: daily login, sample reading, book completion, ratings, and reviews approved by the editorial team, participation in the referral program, achieving trophies and medals, and other rewards that Adasato may establish.
Welcome bonus when registering for the first time.

2.3. Expiration

Satocoins have the following expiration policy:

Satocoins acquired through real purchase: do not expire.
Satocoins obtained for free (rewards, bonuses, trophies, referrals, etc.): expire 30 days after they are obtained if they have not been used.
Adasato reserves the right to extend the duration of Satocoins obtained for free during promotional periods, of which it will inform users.

Adasato will notify the user sufficiently in advance of the upcoming expiration of their free Satocoins, through the email associated with the account and/or through notices on the Platform.

2.4. Use of Satocoins

Satocoins can be used to unlock books and digital content available on the Platform according to the prices established at any time. Adasato reserves the right to modify the prices in Satocoins with prior notice.

2.5. Non-refundability

Purchased Satocoins are non-refundable except in the event of a technical error attributable to Adasato or in cases where applicable regulations require it. Free Satocoins are non-refundable under any circumstances.

3. Premium Subscription

3.1. How it works

The Premium subscription grants unlimited access to the entire catalog available on the Platform during the active subscription period. Access to the content automatically ceases when the subscription ends or is canceled, without affecting books previously unlocked with Satocoins.

3.2. Billing and renewal

The subscription is billed periodically (monthly or annually, according to the contracted plan) and is automatically renewed unless explicitly canceled by the user. Payment is processed through Stripe or other enabled gateways. The current price is always shown before confirming the subscription.

3.3. Cancellation

The user can cancel their subscription at any time from their account area. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, without the right to a proportional refund for the remaining time, unless applicable regulations establish otherwise.

3.4. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with European consumer regulations, the user has 14 calendar days from the purchase to exercise their right of withdrawal, unless they have actually accessed the digital content during said period, in which case the right of withdrawal will be excluded with their prior express consent.

4. Rewards, Trophies System & Referral Program

4.1. Rewards for activity

Adasato may award free Satocoins to the user for various actions within the Platform: daily login, completing readings, writing approved reviews, rating books, achieving trophies and medals, and other activities that are communicated in a timely manner. These rewards are subject to the limits and conditions published on the Platform at any time.

Reviews and ratings are subject to approval by the Adasato editorial team before the corresponding reward is delivered. Adasato reserves the right to reject inappropriate, false content or content that violates community standards.

4.2. Referral Program (Ambassadors)

The referral program allows the user to obtain Satocoins when a guest user invited through their unique link makes coin purchases on the Platform. The current commissions are shown in the Ambassadors section of the account area.

Adasato reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the referral program at any time, respecting commissions already generated and pending payment. Abuse of the referral system through fake accounts, self-referrals, or any fraudulent mechanism is expressly prohibited.

4.3. Modification of the rewards system

Adasato may modify the rewards associated with each action, the values of the trophies, and the conditions of the referral program at any time, communicating it with reasonable notice through the Platform.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1. Ownership

All content available on the Platform (texts, books, images, design, brand, software, and any other element) is the property of Adasato or has the corresponding licenses. Its reproduction, distribution, sale, modification, or any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

5.2. License of use

Upon acquiring or unlocking a book, the user obtains a personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to read it on the Platform, solely for private use. Ownership of the content or any exploitation rights over it is not transferred.

5.3. Content creation tools

Part of the content available on the Platform is created through proprietary editorial processes of Adasato that incorporate advanced technological tools, including artificial intelligence, under human editorial supervision and direction. The resulting characters, fictional authors, and works are original creations of Adasato and are protected by applicable intellectual property regulations.

5.4. User-generated content

The user guarantees that the content they publish on the Platform (reviews, ratings, comments, marginal notes) is original, does not infringe third-party rights, and does not contain illegal, offensive, or inappropriate material. Adasato reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove such content without prior notice.

6. Community Rules of Use

The user agrees to make a responsible and respectful use of all the Platform's features, including the marginal notes system, comments, and discussion threads. The following are expressly prohibited:

Publishing offensive, discriminatory, violent, illegal content or content that violates third-party rights.
Performing fraudulent activities to obtain Satocoins illegitimately.
Attempting to manipulate the rewards, trophies, or referral system.
Using the Platform for commercial purposes without express authorization.
Sharing, reproducing, or distributing the protected content of the Platform.

7. Payments and Processing

All payments are securely processed through Stripe or other enabled gateways, subject to their own terms and conditions. Adasato does not store bank card details. Prices include applicable taxes according to current legislation in the user's jurisdiction. Adasato reserves the right to modify prices with prior notice.

8. Limitation of Liability and Service Availability

Adasato makes all reasonable efforts to guarantee the continuous availability of the Platform, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Adasato will not be responsible for service interruptions, loss of data, or damages derived from causes beyond its control.

In no event shall Adasato's liability exceed the amount paid by the user in the last 12 months, except in cases provided for by applicable consumer protection regulations.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

The processing of personal data of users is governed by the Adasato Privacy Policy, available on the Platform, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable Spanish regulations.

10. Modifications to the Terms

Adasato may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Substantial changes will be notified to users with a minimum of 15 days' notice via email and/or notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after said notification will imply acceptance of the new conditions.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Conditions are governed by Spanish law and, where applicable, by European Union regulations, including the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), the Consumer Rights Directive, and electronic commerce regulations. For the resolution of conflicts, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals of the consumer user's domicile, without prejudice to the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available.
